I think Torque will be futureproof, if it has enough user to maintain it.
Torque is build up upon ancient technology, but other big engines also, so there is not much difference in that.

It does not matter what your model is like, you just need to follow some conventions for LOD levels if you want to use them and the names for the nodes like eye, mount etc.

Ugly, but unfunctional.
I always wondered why you need a front right, front left etc hitzones. Front, back, side would make more sense.
