Now if you want to make it even more complicated you implement all methods and let the player chose in options which one he wants to use.

Do whatever you want, but I think the normal process is you produce a prototype first and then seek funding, not seek funding and then produce a prototype. It may work, but investors are less likely to invest then.

Before you try to make your complicated solution work, you should check if there is an easier solution or if what you are trying to do even makes sense. First I would say having to cycle through duck, pron and standing is a bad solution, having a key for each is much simpler to use for the player. S...

You got a prototype ready? I would do that first, otherwise you will have problems estimating how long it will take you to finish a project or if you already got the skills to do so.

I used the run animation for backwards as well, it just reverses the run animation and I don't have to make a back animation, this is also how I think it is made to be used, you make a run animation and for backwards movement you use the same and it automatically gets reversed.

There is a function in script that will write the options into a pref file when exiting the options dialog, you could try to debug that wit...

Thanks for the explanation, I may want to try the actions method some time later, but for now I was too lazy to learn how to do it and just used the old method that was already documented and proven to work. But I think there is not much advantage to using actions comparing to using a single timelin...

There you have it, the prefs do not get saved, maybe due to file permission issues.

Are you using the stock template or did you write your own functions to save the settings? Or do the options save into a file correctly and something with the operating system messes it up again?
