Should note the OpenAL end of things on mac was a bit of a hack that cost us the new reverb stuff on that platform. At some point we'll need to revisit that to sort out how to properly use the git-included library instead of the os framework to leverage the AL_ALEXT_PROTOTYPES extended functionalit...

I tested it with my on-board intel hd 530, it never crashes but does with my gtx 1660, certainly sounds like an nvidia bug. Just some other things, the colours with this pbr build are still off (as per my screenshots the other week i sent ya). With the SSAO, that needs to be moved out of the vector ...

Ok sweet it was that, the other plus is you will save 1 instruction for every probe loop :). I can't answer why it fails hard but the other difference in the asm output is the comparison function ge: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/direct3dhlsl/ge--sm4---asm- vs ige: https://docs.mi...

Yeah have a look here http://shader-playground.timjones.io/43852b02190b8620e9be07a89505770e Just compare the int/float numProbes output, the float actually makes it use one more instruction, it uses itof which is integer to float . Try changing the uniform to an integer in your code and see if the s...

That HLSL example above would compile out if hard coded to 0 like that, i take it you actually mean passing in numProbes as a shader uniform right? Is there anything else you are doing funky with the uniform? I know our PBR versions branched off in different directions quite awhile ago now, but i us...

@Duion do correct me if i am wrong, but the only link i can find to discord is within these actual forums. There is no link that i noticed to discord on the landing page for this community (torque3d.org), there is only a link to the forums (via Community->Forums). Than once you reach the forums, yes...

It is just not sinking in duion, no one is forcing you to use discord, just look at how many replies and views your ranting threads have received, discord is just another option people have to discuss things related to t3d, there is no mandatory requirement to use it. I have said this multiple times...

So you expect everyone that uses discord to just stop using it and switch over to another application just to keep you and Richard Stallman happy? Don't come on here and tell me or anyone else what application we can and cannot use, the sense of entitlement is bloody ridiculous. The IRC server was ...

The IRC server was online for years, yet never had a large amount of users in there, funny enough a discord channel was created and hey presto it is a hive of activity. Popularity is not an argument, you can just brainwash people to like something, if you have enough of money and experts on marketi...
