Never heard of it before, but just by a quick Google search, I would guess T3D needs to support OpenGL ES at least. Probably needs to port over the platform layer as well. It would probably be a sizeable task.

It would seem someone decided not to have collisions with TSStatic's as they aren't really meant to be interacted with I guess.
The culprit is here:

If the engine loses focus, i.e. Opening a browser while playing, it will turn down the fps. Perhaps, having the task manager open affects whether the engine thinks it has focus, and lets it run at full fps.
