I've definitely considered this, the problem is that the clouds aren't rendered in world space. The most I could do right now is just scroll the alpha of the texture across the terrain to simulate cloud shadows.

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to finishing it or at least get it to a releasable state.

Hey guys, just a small update. I wanted to share some screenshots of the progress I've been making.

Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. The clouds look so much better in motion.

All of the pictures were created using different settings available in the editor, so there's really no limitation to the types of clouds you can make with this. I want to record a video soon showcasing the cloud movement and some of the customization, so stay tuned for that.

I do plan on releasing it. It's great that you want to include it in DM because I specifically thought of you guys and beamNG as prime candidates for a system like this. I'm hoping it makes its way into the main T3D repo eventually. I still have a lot left to do before I get there though.

Not quite yet, I want to iron some stuff out first. If it takes too long to figure that stuff out though, then I'll prioritize making a showcase video for this thread.
