The main reason is there were basically no editor tools for it. I know one guy had a tool that generated the atlas terrains, but there wasn't anything like the live terrain editor. You generated the terrain via some sort of third party utility, and loaded it. It was pretty much a 3d model, of a sort...

Hey guys, just to get everyone up to speed on it. We noted an issue with the latest release of 2017, version 15.3. Ended up being that they made some changes that ended up introducing unreliable/regressive behavior with heavy usage of offsetof(). Given that we use that to interface the script engine...

As duion and blood mentioned, I'm pretty sure the 65k limit is per submesh. If you separate the house mesh out into a few separate objects inside blender instead of a singular mesh. Then you can just export them all into a single collada file and it should play nicely with that. Having it be a bit s...

I will note that the Full template's PlayGUI has some text fields on it for pop up messages for gameplay stuff. you can check those out and see how those get used to get some ideas. From there, you could just have a text field for where you'd like the messages to display, and have the trigger call a...

Hey @slapin! Welcome! To further elucidate on your inquiries: 1) T3D has AI classes built in, but the driving logic is not included by default. Duion suggested a good option with Bad Behavior, which lets you easily put together AI logic trees. 2) It has Flying and Wheeled vehicles out of the box. Do...

Specifically, the error rails on about templates and stuff like that. If it ends up being that error, the workaround fix is pretty simple: https://github.com/GarageGames/Torque3D/commit/ef1edd375116c6ab1dffb9ba30620353439b5afd and https://github.com/GarageGames/Torque3D/commit/7cc0373b4829a692339d1a...

@BOS As Timmy said, the files are good, but we could be looking at some odd combination of configurations going wrong that's making the projects not generate right. Catching up, I noted that you're trying to build 3.10 in VS2017. It sounded like after you got the DX SDK installed, cmake (seemingly) ...

BOS: Can you clarify a little on the 'the project files might be invalid' bit? What's throwing that message? VS? CMake?
