Well that picture 2 is wrong we pretty much agree upon I think, but picture 1 and 3 have the same color but the intensity is different. Now the question is which method is actually better, picture 1 or picture 3. I already adapted all my levels and textures to work well with the new method, so befor...

So looks like we found the "bug", even though probably unrelated to the initial issue. It looks to me that the 3.9 changes improved the overall look of the terrain, making it more realistic, but also made the whole blending more sensitive so you hit black and white spots more early. Did yo...

My player character starts at frame 1, since frame 0 I made the root position and all animations are on the same timeline behind each other, but I could not notice looping issues.
My walking, crouching, running animations are just 20-30 frames or so and you would clearly notice if one frame was off.

for me at least i am going to hunt down the change from 3.8 and revert it, hoping to hell that this isnt part of the dx11 changes The change does not exist as there has never been a change to the terrain system. Both of those screenshots use EXACTLY the same textures with EXACTLY the same settings ...

And if you use the intensity setting in the terrain materials editor for the layers the system becomes even more tolerant. For example if a texture is too dark just lower the instensity until it fits, there is nothing you need to do outside the engine for that, I use it often for finetuning, when I ...

Is that for real or did you just forget to set it up properly?
The source blend file for that would be helpful.
I never noticed something like that.

Well there can be slight differences within coding styles, for example the preferred indend length, from 1 - 8 spaces/tabs everything exists.

Are the any inconsistencies in the code? I did not notice much.

And do automatic tools exist that can restyle the entire code automatically?
