In regards to the camera in 3rd person, if I remember right you have to move the camera node itself to get the distance you want.

I dont know how much this adds https://github.com/yourarcade/T3D.WheeledVehicleResource But @Jason Campbell seems to have the best approach, the steering angle is for the front wheels to turn, but you could use that same data to apply to your steering wheel itself either via animation or literally ...

The docs don't say any more than my quote from above. I made a quick animation of the steering and tried to get it working but I couldn't. I really think its still in the code because I've seen people do it. It frustrating that there's no examples.
