Unfortunately, I don't have a frame of reference. I have no Windows install to test things. In general gpu drivers don't give the same performance as Windows. Usually Linux being slightly behind. I will say that everything does seem smooth. Which GPU and driver you using?

It is strange they are completely separate. Just watching the terrain deform from those incredible explosions, crazy. It does seem dead, sadly. The engine changes must be large.

It's down now but you might mean torqueterrains.com it was a group of terrains and textures made by Andy Wright. Here's a link to a post made by Andy. I guess you could try to PM him...I might have them somewhere but I'm not certain.

Looking pretty noice! You may not have seen it, but the guy that started MakeHuman started up a new project that basically does a similar deal, but it's directly integrated into blender as an addon: http://www.manuelbastioni.com I think I prefer the meshwork it puts out compared to MakeHumans. May ...

I would just use 3.10 for now. Much of the skills you will learn will be applicable. Get used to compiling the engine. Get a build going with bullet physix for instance. Then when 4.0 comes out you could concurrently help squash bugs and this would get you up to speed. I'm sure that 4.0 will have so...

Thanks, everybody! I was going to have a video right up but now I have to do some reworking. I think it is going to help with the visuals. I really want to be able to add small details and maintain a good frame rate.

Cool, I do think the spy genre is underused and I'm glad it's peaking your interest. My inspiration is an old pen and paper RPG called Top Secret. Torque is great to work with but performance is always a constant battle. Really trying to stay above 60fps on this.

Some of it. All the buildings that you can enter were made by me. Well except there is a couple castles made by Arteria 3D, which I have a lifetime subscription to. I also tracked down Todd Pickens and he was super helpful in packaging up his fps environment kit and selling it for the same price as ...
