Not trying to be 'that Linux guy' but I too was reluctant to switch. I was content to stay with Windows 7, which is still a very good OS. When I built a new rig, I decided that it was the time. I chose Linux Mint because it was pretty similar to Win7. Here's the thing. Best choice I ever made in reg...

Once your project is set up, you can make an engine change, compile and drop that executable into your game folder and that's it. Torque can be finicky but honestly, it has ruined me for other game engi...

I'm on Linux so I'm afraid I can't help very much. I am using code::blocks in my current project and it works very well. Perhaps it is a directX thing. When I compile vanilla T3D from command line, I enter three commands but codeblocks helps to visualize the source code changes. Here is johns VS 201...

And?

I'm just guessing but I think he means, it's a big deal. People have been waiting for 3.0 for awhile. It's a great time to be alive, if your a game dev.

The only way I've done it is to have a animated rig and switch out the mesh and re-weight . It would be great to have a set of animations that were compatible with one of makehumans stock export rigs because Blender has a plugin that applies auto weights to the mesh. I doubt you could do a level of ...
